Barracuda Group is one of the UK’s top retail recruitment or search firms for senior level executives in the retail sector. With international reach, Barracuda has successfully delivered client assignments in the UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East, China, and Australasia. Their clients include some of the most recognisable retail brands in the UK and from around the world in sectors such as hospitality, leisure, financial services, consumer goods, online retail and consulting.
Brand Inventions were first consulted by Barracuda in 2011 and commissioned to produce logotypes for two of the Group’s divisions, ‘Interim’ and ‘G2Exec’. In 2014 we were asked to produce concepts fror the Group’s Christmas card. Three concepts were submitted, this being one of them.
We experimented with the idea of creating a Christmas tree from a simple repeat of the Barracuda logo to create an elegant and contemporary looking card. With ‘white on green’ and ‘green on white’ colour options we also provided a series of finishes for the client to choose from – a flat printed card; a relief embossed card in metallic green foil; and finally a card where the Christmas tree design is laser-cut to create a pierced effect or ‘cut-out’ to the front of the card.
