Vida

Project description

Vida is an exclusive dating and introduction agency founded by Rachel Maclynn in 2012. Rachel is a chartered business psychologist and has worked as a highly successful matchmaker for busy professionals for over seven years. This international award-winning matchmaking service has consultants located throughout Europe and the USA and is fast becoming one of the most highly regarded introduction agencies for successful people anywhere in the World.

Brand Inventions was first consulted by Rachel early in 2013 with regard to filing a UK trademark application for the Vida logo with the Intellectual Property Office – a service we offer to all our clients. In December 2013 we were invited to submit designs for a gift card – a raffle prize that Vida had generously agreed to donate for a SmallWorld Winter Party in Gstaad. The prize voucher entitled the winner (or their chosen recipient), to £9,000 worth of international matchmaking services by the consultancy.

For this project we referenced the bronze, black and white colour scheme which forms an essential part of Vida’s brand identity and to this palette we added a dark red. The application of red and white throughout the design is intended to evoke the national colours of Switzerland. The image of the girl struggling home through a snowy landscape with an extravagant collection of presents was devised to engender the festive spirit as well as evoke a Christmas spent at a winter resort. We created a series of alternatives for the voucher format: a conventional one-sided card; a folding card; a credit card-sized gift card and a presentation gift set with the elements of a folding card and gift card combined.

We wish Rachel and everyone at Vida Consultancy well. We enjoyed working with you on this interesting project, we look forward to working with you on future projects and to our ongoing ‘relationship’.
